How to Use Springtime Energy
Energy is a vital element of healing. It is the element that spurs your body to begin healing in the first place. But what happens if you don’t have the energy that is needed to heal? Today, I’ll be continuing the conversation of embarking on a healing journey, and using the powerful energy that’s available in Spring to jump start your growth and get on a healing path. I work with a lot of people specifically to help them gain the energy they need to heal.
The Triangle of Wellness
There’s a tool I’ve developed out of my years of work blending Chinese and Western medicine – called the Triangle of Wellness. It is the basis of healing – how your immune system, your nervous system and your hormones are all connected in the shape of a triangle. When you balance out these three points of the triangle, you have the building blocks for wellness.
Ways to Use Springtime Energy
- Cleanse – it doesn’t have to be complicated. You can do a full on two week detox protocol or you can just aim for doubling the amount of veggies you eat. The more vegetables you have – the more your body can cleanse.
- Move – by beginning to exercise more, take walks and get outside, you are taking advantage of the healing combination of both movement and nature.
- Meditation – it doesn’t have to be long and intense. If you spend just 3 minutes a day in silent observation or breathing slowly or add a daily ritual like praying, writing about what you’re grateful for, or practice something good it allows you to move a little closer to healing every single day.
- Visualize – by visualizing yourself being healthy, you are allowing yourself to be more open to healing and growth. This is an incredible tool that can bring you to new levels of wellness every day.
It takes about 90 days for your mind and body to start developing a new habit so it’s really important to do these things daily if you want to feel the healing effects of them over time. It’s better to spend just 3-5 minutes a day than do something once a week for an hour. You may want to focus on just one or two at a time and keeping them very simple at the start because it will help you build yourself up softly rather than in a harsh and overwhelming manner. When it comes to healing, it is best to do it in an organic way rather than a forceful way since it allows your body to do what it is made to do already (heal!).
