Board Certified in Medical Acupuncture, Integrative Medicine, and Functional Medicine (FMCP), Dr. Shiroko combines the precision of Western Medicine with the wisdom of Chinese Medicine to help patients achieve complete, lasting wellness.

Board Certified in Medical Acupuncture, Integrative Medicine, and Functional Medicine (FMCP), Dr. Shiroko combines the precision of Western Medicine with the wisdom of Chinese Medicine to help patients achieve complete, lasting wellness.

Her healing philosophy—rooted in her signature “100 Percent Healing Approach”—recognizes that true health requires balance between body, mind, and spirit. She listens deeply to understand each patient’s unique story, guiding them through personalized treatment plans that may include acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, advanced diagnostic testing, hormone balancing, and lifestyle guidance.

Dr. Shiroko’s journey into integrative healing began during her surgical residency, when she realized that traditional medicine alone couldn’t offer the compassionate, whole-person care she envisioned. 

After a decade working as an Emergency Physician while studying Chinese Medicine, she opened Heart to Heart Medical Center in 1993—pioneering a new model of care that blends cutting-edge medical science with the heart-centered principles of Eastern healing.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Shiroko has:

Written the acclaimed book Healing When It Seems Impossible – 7 Keys to Defy the Odds, empowering readers to overcome chronic illness through resilience and self-understanding.

Published an integrative medicine column in local Sonoma County newspapers since 2000.

Co-hosted Perspectives on Healing, a public-access TV show exploring holistic health and spirituality.

I’m Reynette Hong, and my journey with Dr. Shiroko began nearly 26 years ago—first as her patient for over a decade, and now as her Office Manager for the past 16 years. Having experienced her care firsthand, I have a deep appreciation for her compassionate approach and her commitment to addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply treating symptoms.

My passion is creating a warm, welcoming environment where every patient feels valued and supported from the moment they walk through our doors. By overseeing the daily operations of the practice and managing the administrative details behind the scenes, I help ensure a seamless experience for both patients and providers. 

I take pride in building the organized foundation that allows our team to focus on what matters most—helping patients achieve optimal health, healing, and well-being. It is incredibly rewarding to be part of a practice that transforms lives, and I am honored to support patients throughout their healthcare journey.
